Helping Hands at Home (A Review)

Helping Hands at Home (A Review)

My insight as to household help?!  Use EVERYONE!  To be reasonable, children under the age of two aren’t very much help, but even a toddler can contribute to the efficient running of your home. Not to mention that the children will benefit from the responsibility of chores. According to the Bradly Hospital Parenting Guide:

“The assignment of household chores serves several important teaching functions regarding social responsibility. It allows the child to experience both a sense of contribution to the family and a sense of accomplishment-and, in turn, it allows a sense of pride in that accomplishment. Pride is the key ingredient in the development of self-respect, which is the foundation for good mental health and happiness in life. Moreover, contributing to the family and feeling good about doing so strengthens the child’s connection to the family.”

And, in my humble opinion, they contribute to the mess, it is only right that they contribute to the clean up after, right?  (smile)

So, I was thrilled that this month for the Gabby Mom’s review, we were given the opportunity to review Helping Hands at Home by Lorrie Flem - what a great resource this little eBook turned out to be!

Lorrie walks us through step by step instructions on teaching your children how to clean the bathroom in the first section of this eBook.  Then she walks you through step by step on how to teach them to clean the kitchen.  As a busy mom of six, I often would get overwhelmed with all that is needing to be done and I would desire for someone to just tell me how to get some key things done.  Do you ever get that way?  If so, this is the book you need!

The book also includes a section addressing motivating the children.  SO necessary!  Making them clean is a matter of obedience, but if you are like me – you want it to be more than that.  You want to encourage your kids to want to keep it clean.  Right?  This section will prove to be very helpful to you, I believe.  I know it was to me.

HelpingHandsThis was my first experience going through one of Lorrie’s products/resources, and I am thanking God that He saw fit to allow me to be one of the Gabby Moms for this year!  It is going to be a huge blessing for our home, I can already tell.  Thank you, Lorrie for creating such a great product.  It is sure evident throughout this book that Lorrie has a genuine heart for helping moms!  Helping Hands at Home is available for Kindle for only $0.99.

Disclosure: I received this product for free to review for The Gabby Moms program, but the opinions expressed here are completely my own, honest opinions – as they always are.  See my Disclosure Policy for more information.
